An interesting articles on various career options in neuroscience. Its not all about running a lab.
We currently have two lab assistant/research assistant positions in our lab. Matti is also looking for a student to help him with his duties as Chair of Psychology. You will find the link above. Postings close Sept. 18th, 2014. Please apply through Student Affairs, not directly to us. Information on how to apply can be found on Nipissing U’s website, or ask your fellow students (hint: you must be eligible for financial aid).
The conference is coming up in 2 short months. Here is a link to all the information you need on costs and registration.
“Death is very likely the single best invention of life. It’s life’s change agent; it clears out the old to make way for the new. Right now, the new is you. But someday, not too long from now, you will gradually become the old and be cleared away. Sorry to be so dramatic, but it’s quite true. Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life.” -Steve Jobs, Stanford University Commencement 2005
CONGRATULATIONS to our graduates this year, Sarah, Kate and Micheal, for a job well done. It took a lot of perseverance and ambition for you to get this far. We wish you well in whatever comes next and you will all be missed around the lab!
Congratulations (or tough luck!) to Sarah, Jordan and Ben who were the successful job candidates this year. Expect to see them in the lab a lot busily working away!
Also, don’t forget that Prospectus is this Friday, October 11th in A257. All are welcome to come and see the presentations, especially if you are planning to do a thesis in the next year or two. They start at 9:0am and the last one starts at 2:30p. Our students Kate and Micheal do their presentation at 10:30a and Sarah goes at 11:30a. Good luck to all three of them!
